Computer Proficiency Exam Review (CPER)
This course will review the fundamentals of office productivity tools including Windows® Operating System and Microsoft® Office 2007 tools with a particular focus on word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation software. The course is designed to meet the needs of students who have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003 and are seeking additional skills in order to be prepared to sit for the Houston Baptist University Computer Proficiency Examination (CPE). The instruction will take place in a computer lab on the HBU campus for five consecutive Saturday mornings. The course is offered three times during the year. Because this course does not qualify for academic course credit, students may not use University financial aid or scholarships to pay for the course. Beginning fall 2009, if you have received transfer course credit at Houston Baptist University for CISM 1321 then you have satisfied the University Computer Proficiency requirement. This course is open to HBU undergraduate students only.
